Nutcracker Magician

Nowadays used as a Christmas decoration, nutcrackers were once indeed used as a nut cracking tool. With the help of the lever on the back it is easy to split nutshells that are placed in the figure's mouth. Nutcrackers are available in different variants. They are produced since the end of the 19th century and originated in the German Erzgebirge. With their often grim look the figures remind of former authorities like kings, husars or different professionals and allude to their characteristics. Nutcrackers are produced in about 130 steps and up to 60 individual parts and are decorated with different materials and colours.
