His attire is that of an experienced hiker: practical knee-length trousers, a warming jacket, and a brightly green scarf complete his appearance. But the most adorable part of this ensemble is behind him: on a golden ribbon, the Easter bunny pulls a small cart, where a chubby little bunny has comfortably settled. The ensemble "Easter Bunny with Basket," turned from local woods, is only about 8 cm wide, but its richness in detail invites exploration and storytelling. The figurine is crafted in our Blank workshops in Grünhainichen with intricate, traditional craftsmanship, truly "Echt Erzgebirge. Holzkunst mit Herz®".
The special thing about this figure: it was created based on an old pattern by Georg Beyer, the inventor of the Angels with Pleated Skirt. He managed to capture figures in mid-movement and to translate this into wood in complicated shapes, both then and now. We have taken up that fascination again and transferred this historical template into our production.
