The coloured short-skirted angel with tromba marina presents a rare historical string instrument that is hardly known today. Traditionally a solo instrument and seldom found in orchestras, the tromba marina becomes especially charming in its detailed miniature form. The instrument features a light, elongated triangular body with a single string and a reddish-brown wooden neck. Its sound hole is covered by a delicate etched brass plate with a fine diamond pattern, adding refinement and authenticity. In the angel’s right hand rests a tiny tensioned bow measuring only around 2 cm. Each figure is handcrafted and hand-painted in Grünhainichen with great care and proudly carries the quality label Echt Erzgebirge. Holzkunst mit Herz.
